We met for the first time in high school. At the time we lived in two different cities. It was our participation in track and field that brought us together for one or two events each year. After High school we did not see each other much. Like many of us, most of our high school friends turned into facebook friends and we moved on to the next chapter in life. We attended college in two different cities. We did not really get to know each other, but Track and field proved to keep our connection alive during college despite being cities apart. Our paths crossing a few more times, but we lost touch for over a decade. In 2019, still living cities apart, we happened to see each other at an event. Familiarity sparked conversation. That conversation led to our first date. That date may have taken over 15 years to happen, but we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
